The Primary Care Network provides staffing support including a full time unit clerk, part time licensed practical nurse and part time Registered Nursing leadership for the following Outpatient Clinics operated by Alberta Health Services:
- Paediatrics
- Outpatient- Minor procedures. Appointments are pre-booked.
- Follow Up Cast Clinic
- Pain Clinic
Paediatric Development Assessment Clinics
The Paediatric Development Assessment Clinics provide physical and psycho-educational assessment and a subsequent treatment plan for children.
Clinics operate from local physician offices/clinics in High River and Black Diamond.
The clinic team includes:
- registered nurse
- physical therapist
- speech therapist
- occupational therapist
- psychologist
- physician
The service links to specialty care, schools and the Alberta Health Services Pediatric Development Clinic through a common clinic coordinator and other staff. It is well integrated with local family physicians.
Children are referred to this clinic by their school.
