The Primary Care Network is working with Claresholm to run a Healthy Breakfast Program at three area schools.
The purpose of the program is to:
- Provide a morning snack for all students
- Provide education on the benefits of healthy eating and starting the day with breakfast.
The Primary Care Network funds a program coordinator. The program receives additional supports from community volunteers and additional financial support from the Lions Club. This program is linked with Alberta Health Services –Calgary Zone Childhood Obesity Initiative.
