Smoking Cessation Program - Strathmore
The program works in collaboration with Alberta Health Services. Primary care nurses, respiratory therapist, and a pharmacist provide group education using a national training model. Patients can self refer or be referred by their physician or health care professional. Classes are held in a variety of communities including Strathmore, Carseland and Gleichen. The classes are free of charge as they are sponsored by the Calgary Rural Primary Care Network.

Respiratory Therapist - Community Based Strathmore
A part time based respiratory therapist targets smoking cessation, lung health education and asthma programs in Strathmore. This position is integrated with Alberta Health Services Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Asthma resources.
