Role Summary:
The Summer Student will assist the Executive Director with researching community statistics, developing focus group questionnaires, and completing various reports. Projected start date: May 11, 2020, end date: August 28, 2020.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Updating community profiles and statistics within the CRPCN catchment
  • Assisting with report development
  • Presiding at various CRPCN booths at fairs to promote CRPCN services
  • Updating information on various CRPCN documents
  • Participate in staff, patient and other stakeholder surveys
  • Plan for community focus groups
  • Miscellaneous other duties
Educational Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in:
  • Business
  • Library Science
  • Communications
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Research skills – both online and via alternate methods
  • Excellent communication skills in written and oral English

  • A team player with high energy and a willingness to learn
  • Motivated thinker with good organizational skills
  • Ability to efficiently work through tasks
  • Self-starter
Working Conditions:
  • Home office environment requires working independently under minimal daily supervision
  • Travel to additional CRPCN work sites may be required
  • Valid driver’s license & access to reliable vehicle required

About the Calgary Rural Primary Care Network (CRPCN):
The Calgary Rural PCN works together with communities, family doctors and other health team members to do whatever we can help you be as healthy as possible. We are working together to change the delivery of health care in our communities from reactive to preventative by providing services to patients that fit their needs through supports we have in our member clinics, such as nurses, dietitians and other health care professionals. We collaborate to provide the tools and education to empower patients to work on their everyday health needs.
